The Providence Tourism Council hosts an annual citywide New Year's Eve celebration with the Illuminate PVD Fireworks at the 195 District Park and the Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge on December 31.


Join us for an early start to ring in the new year, where festivities will illuminate the night from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a mix of experiential tents with interactive art activations, music, and roaming entertainment promising enjoyment for all ages. A mix of food trucks and The Guild will be on hand, serving beverages to the 21+ crowd.


There will be a lighting of WaterFire's braziers surrounding the pedestrian bridge, starting at 7:00 p.m., setting the stage for the Providence Tourism Council's Illuminate PVD Fireworks show at 8:30 p.m.sharp! The surrounding park area and The Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge offers the perfect vantage point of the fireworks on the Providence River.
